Maybe it's because it’s not actually getting something as part of the iq, but
actually just triggering a replay of the message archive?

Something like:
Before: Example 1. A user queries their archive for messages
After: Example 1. A user sends a form to query their archive for messages
And a comment that "set" is according the form XEP.
