Well they say that real binocular telescopes indeed give a much more
plastic impression of the objects in view, even though they are
"infinitely" far away. I haven't tried it myself, though.

That's a great thing to see. I like the description of your video on
youtube as it demonstrates that it's possible to link devices of very
different sizes to each other if the interfaces are written well enough.

Actually I'm "using" dynamic plugins, but it's kind of a personal
testing project (I know, gpl and all that). The good thing about dynamic
plugins is that I don't need to rebuild stellarium just to test
something. I also tried making it static first,but that failed for some
reason I don't remem
About accuracy: I simply don't know if it will work out, but here are
the numbers I'm building upon:
- It's actually not really an IMU, but a set of accelerometers and
gyroscopes.
- The accelerometers have 16-bit converters built in, the gyroscopes
have 13 bits. This should give me a resolution
