There were no government casualties in the clash 38 kilometers north of Skopje. Macedonian forces used artillery and helicopters against the rebels. Macedonian television claimed the rebel commander in Radusa, named as Adnan was killed. This could not be confirmed. Presidential officials said meanwhile there would be a statement later about talks with leaders of the main political parties and U.S. and EU envoys, James Pardew and Francois Leotard, on a peace plan.
