Hello, Digester seems to be a pretty nice package for translating XML into java-objects. I have a question about the error handling though. It appears that the Digester doesn't propagate some parsing errors, e.g when a required element is missning. It only logs it to stdout. I haven't found

This is what happens when someone leaves their mail address without unsubscribing from the list. the mailing daemon has a strategy for detecting this problem and automatically unsubscribing the user who's mail keeps bouncing. this will work itself out and the list owner has been notified to boot.

I believe I've solved my own problem. Please correct me if I'm wrong. 1) The reason my code wasn't working is because the set and get methods of the bean used different types. It was not considered a valid JavaBeans property. Changing the set/get methods to this will make it work:
