I see two main benefits to something "like" this. One is that it can be
done by page authors, wihtout having to ask the developer. If a page
author has some fragment, it may even be just plain template!, it can
encapsulate and reuse it.

Seems reasonable to me.
Also, somebody should write a tag to use JAXB (aka. adelard); I'll see
if the core team @ sun has any cycles, if not, perhaps somebody at
jakarta-taglibs will.

Also a reminder that Dan Mandell is planning to submit his tag library
integration with UltraDev to jakarta-taglibs. He said something about
doing it over the break, but we will see :-)
