POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will be involved in the development and maintenance of LQ.com and other La Quinta Internet initiatives. We are looking for someone with a background in Java development for consumer Internet projects.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

* Provide ongoing development and maintenance of LQ.com and other La Quinta Internet initiatives.

* Work under the guidance of the Internet Architect on development projects.

* Responsible for Internet content updates and the development / integration of content management tools.

* Work with the various internal departments and partners on special Internet projects.

* Perform application testing and performance tuning with the Enterprise Test Center.

* Perform basic Web Server and UNIX system administration services.

* Work with the Internet Team on the evolution of La Quinta’s Internet strategy.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
* Prefer BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related field.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
* 2 years Internet development experience in a B2C environment.
* Travel or hospitality industry experience preferred.
