We are NOT placing our /classes and /lib etc inside of the WEB-INF directory for reasons of simpifying migration from NT to UNIX. Instead we have the entire application outside of the weblogic directory starting at the root (C: for NT, and /whatever for UNIX). Our scripts point to the correct places so weblogic and the java classloader can find them to load. We only have one web application now, however, and will for the forseeable future. I bring all this up because we load some classes in separate class loaders, and other classes are loaded by both! We need to do this because of this setup. I dont know what all the consequences of this are, but I just read an article about classloading where it suggests using ".ear" files to remedy this classloading issue. Could you please comment. http://www.onjava.com/pub/a/onjava/2001/07/25/ejb.html
