I realize it's been a while since this was discussed, but I figured
I'd share some thoughts, in no particular order before I archived the
thread.
• Having a settings module for this seems reasonable. It might be more
fitting to just call it "Journal Backup" instead of "Management",

We have been improving Daniel Drake's original XS backup and restore
scripts. We will soon be starting our massive F-11 build upgrade. It is
important to have some simple GUI mechanism to let kids restore their
journal backup after upgrade.
This is this a proposal for a control panel option.
