Aneesh,
I haven't had a chance to look at your patches. What I had actually had in
mind was having separate Git directories for the GTK3 versions of the code.
We aren't using GTK3 in the field so much yet, so I wanted readers of the
book to have complete samples of both versions of the Activitie

Walter,
OK. The GCI tasks are supposed to be two hours work for an experienced
developer and quantity of tasks completed counts (two things I only learned
today. I should have read the mentoring instructions more carefully).
Splitting up the tasks for GTK3 might improve the situation for Aneesh.
He gets create for the ports themselves, so I think this is a
non-issue for him. I think he dropped out because he can only have one
task open at a time and plans to reclaim once he has some examples in
hand.

I just got a posting from Aneesh. He has given up on the GTK3 porting, but
he did post patches for two examples. I think the problem is that there
are too many samples to port to make a good GCC task. I didn't realize
that they get credit based on number of tasks completed when I wrote mine
up.
Chris,
It looks like I have Ksitij Kumar doing the WebKit task and Aneesh Dogra
doing the GTK3 port. Aneesh has made a clone of my reposotory for code
examples here:

Ksitij has given me a PDF of a new chapter for the book, which actually

I have deleted the task. I was going to simply mark it as
"unpublished",
Chris,
OK. We can get rid of this task if it isn't eligible. We'll figure out
some way of getting any new stuff translated after GCI is over.

We prob. should not have published this task until after we had the
new content. You could comment that the task is not ready and ask that
the person who claimed it to unclaim it for the time being. FYI, we
can always, unilaterally, add more time to a task.

Walter,
This morning somebody volunteered to do Spanish translation for Google
code-in. The problem is that we already have a Spanish translation of the
manual, and only need translation for new content. We might get some new
content, as we have volunteers for GTK3 and WebKit, but I would guess
