The cover of the June 2000 issue of Embedded Systems programming has
a sundial with the gnomon pointing in the wrong direction. I've already
emailed them about it.

Murphy's law applies to sundials. I once stayed at a B&B in Keswick,
Cumbria, England. In the garden there was a classic brass sundial but the
gnomon was mounted backwards. It had been installed by the county engineer
which may explain the layout of some of the roads in the Lakes District.
