Hi latlongers,
one way to check is to view the lat and long values as xy points in an excel
or similar graph. I did this for our own small country. While the points to
the west and north are petrochemical platforms at sea, and OK (because
Dutch), the points to the east and south are most probably
Those files are great.
But be careful: in the Dutch file there are in many cases incorrect decimal
values of the latitude and longitude. It looks as if in these cases the
decimal point should be 1 position more to the left (same as divide by 10).
I did not check any other file.

coordinates from almost every country in the world.
These data can easily be added to your routines, databases,
etc. You have to credit
