In the photograph we may see the hour lines of two different monofilar
sundials that mark ( both ) the standard time (hour of the clock).
The concentric circles are the daily lines (date's lines) and almost
certainly mark the beginning of the months.

An "Azimutalspinne" (perpendicular gnomon) and a pole-style sundial
(sloping style) indicate independent from each other the middle
european time ( correction by the equation of time gives the hour
lines an irregular form). They indicate the same time only when the
sundial plate is directed

this Sundial is at the Deutsches Museum at Munich. At first I thought
it is a spider-type sundial (Sonnenuhrenspinne) - but what is the
second gnomon for?
