My experience was similar. In general things work fine but there are a few
glitches along the way.
Printer: My new computer has no old Centronics printer parallel port, just USB
ports. So I had to move my very old but reliable printer mover to my wife's PC
on our home network.

It was a long tedious process to change over to a new computer with Vista
and it took me four days to do it. I kept a log of the sequence of steps I
took. This may help those of you who will need to change to Vista.
