For someone like me who once worked in a herbarium, an "asterism" could
conjure a mental image of a garden bed planted with a range of colourful
daisies (members of the plant family Asteraceae).

technical magazines are often not fully scientifically literate. In the
editorial of a GNSS magazine this month, the editor stated that an asterism was
a group of constellations! :-(
