Hi, Java 8 u 261 breaks with the current version of Freenet. There's an update on the way to fix this issue. As a workaround in the meantime you can uninstall the update until the release is out. Here are two articles showing the steps to install a previous Java update: - https://support.planwit

Yes, that’s the one. I don’t recognize that failure offhand and will look into it. On Sat, Aug 1, 2020 at 1:51 PM, Ron Sandlin wrote: > Is this it? > > STATUS | wrapper | 2020/08/01 09:37:52 | <-- Wrapper Stopped > > STATUS | wrapper | 2020/08/01 12:48:20 | --> Wrapper Started as Console > > ST

Perhaps the wrapper isn’t configured for the new version of Java? Are you willing to post your wrapper.log? - Steve On Sat, Aug 1, 2020 at 10:46 AM, Ron Sandlin wrote: > Freenet build 1485 crashes and the log shows many refs to Java this or > > Java that. Java was recently updated to Version 8

Freenet Crashes Immediately

Freenet build 1485 crashes and the log shows many refs to Java this or Java that. Java was recently updated to Version 8 Update 261 on my PC and after that Frenet quit working at all. My PC runs Win 7 OS. Use of MS Edge or Iexplorer browser, Freenet still crashes. Why does Freenet crash??
