I would guess it's a little of both. It's hard enough that I wouldn't
know how to do it. And there are other things that are a higher
priority to get working. Yours is the first time I've seen anyone
request that feature.

Right. The part about having to use vi is what I added to the wiki
and someone else removed. I've used vi before. But I didn't know
that was the editor that was available on Openmoko. It could've been
nano or emacs or I'm sure one of several other options. The wiki just
says "edit the file"...
I have a Fido pay as you go SIM card. With the default freerunner load it
sits at the home screen saying registering. My t-mobile pay as you go card
works fine.
Are there any workarounds for this issue yet ?

I successfully imported my contacts - even those containing a picture. A
miniature picture shows up in the list (I'm impressed).
But, if I click a contact with a picture, the phone jumps back to the

I had successfully set up eth0 a few days ago, but it seems to have stopped
working. I didn't change my configuration; all I've done is use opkg to
update/upgrade. I'm not sure what changed, but it appears that the
