connection after resume -- it still gets those inputs from the screen,

The NOR flash is untouchable without a debug board. There isn't a failsafe
kernel that you can boot from, that I know of, but you can always reflash
it. It's possible your flash either failed or was too big. I'd try it
again. Boot into NOR flash uboot (hold Aux, then hold power) and fla

if there's noone around near your city, you could give it a try by yourself
without scrambling your PC by using a live linux (ubuntu for example).
Put the files you need for flashing (dfu-util, kernel image, rootfs image)
on an sd-card or usb-stick.
