Everything boots and works properly while powered on. All my distros I've used work properly. The problem is when I shut down the device, it starts clicking, until I press power button again which then it does not click and appears in powered off state. I recently stumbled over a quite annoying problem with gpsd in FDOM (and IIRC also in vanilla 2008.9): GPS generally works, I get a fix and gpsd works just fine (with tangogps), but at some point the gpsd suddenly vanishes.
