OM2008.X testing - Turning off suspend

Has anyone tried testing the directions here? http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/Improving_user_experience#Weekly_update_11.2F23_.7E_11.2F29.2C_Nov I've noticed that the settings app doesn't work. Because of this I cannot turn off the suspend, which means working on the neo is extremely frustrating.
