[2008.12] problems with wifi

i notice since upgrading to 2008.12, that there is no longer a control in 'Settings' to turn on/off the wifi chip. how do i do this now? i've installed lint and mofi in the hope there would be a control there. mofi runs, and displays 'Loading...' at the centre of the screen, and does nothing

not really an openmoko question directly, but still relevant can anyone explain if there is a way to connect to a wifi point that uses a web-based username and password, without using my browser? ideally a bash script or something i can run with one-click? i want to get my e-mail at university

Thanks, Valério I hope OM understands having to look for a web page (or support list) to learn how to input a pincode is not a good thing. Having put an arrow there to suggest one could scroll for other keyboards would have made the ui a tad more intuitive. It states on the page:

I think I just got a bsod: after inputing the pincode, om went to suspend mode (*) and when I went to resume it didn't respond. I had to take the battery out. Is this a common issue with the new image om2008.12? I don't remember having got it with the original image, but I used it little. Will

I've used my neo1973 in israel with the cellcom gsm network with an old sim card, had both voice and sms, and recently tested it after upgrading the gsm firmware with a newer sim card for orange, voice worked, sms didn't seem to. (I don't use it for day to day because of the battery issues). On
