the problem is not the card in the laptop.
At least that's one thing to rule out ;)
Other laptops (including my previous one) could connect fine with PfSense
in the past so i'm a bit stumped.

Turning of the bridge interface (in this case called wireless) makes
the firewall usable again, except ofcourse the wireless interface.
Also squid won't auto-start anymore. Running squid -D from a shell
does do the trick.

I have a sixxs tunnel running trough a pfsense device. It works great.
AFAIK you only need to configure system advanced IPv6 tunnel to
point to your IPv6 endpoint and add a rule to allow ipv6 packaged to that ip.
