Hi, I am experiencing the following, does anyone have experience the
same?

I define CARP Failover for 2 boxes of pfsense, the master synchronizes
all profiles to the slave and the slave does not synchronize to the
master. I defined 2 CARP virtual IP, one for WAN and one for LAN. When
it comes to configuring the DHCP server, I changed the DNS server and
Gateway IP to point to the LAN CARP IP, on both master and slave.
However, I realized that if I pointed the Failover peer IP to each other
(using the real interface IP), the DHCP server in the network could no
longer assign IP addresses. However, if I only entered the Failover peer
IP on the master and leave the Failover peer IP field on the slave
"blank", the DHCP server worked again, and it seemed to perform
correctly, that if the master was shutdown, the slave would assign IP
addresses. And the ARP addresses seemed to synchronize to the slave too.
Is it how it should be set up and should function? The reason why I had
doubt is because the online tutorial indicated that the Failover peer IP
on both master and slave MUST be defined.

Regards, Kelvin
