I noticed that it doesn't auto-scroll down when any *browser page* is open ;
when Pidgin comes *alone* on screen, it auto-scrolls down alright, no matter
how long the (preceding) thread is ...!

I wrote some code (which is running on a XMPP server side) to provide
the avatar in the vcard. But the avatar is NOT displayed on the pidgin
until click the "get info" button for that buddy.

Until today, I've used pidgin to sign into AIM, gmail and MSN chats. Today I
