are there plans to include the new Skype Api for a client replacement? It
should work now completely without the skype-client running.

multiple buddies (selecting from a checklist, which ones to send the message
to).
Message to send was on the left side, and user checklist was on the right
side.

The Group Message plugin can do some of what you want, yes. Though if you
were to get it I would recommend getting it from your distribution or from
the actual authors and not from some random website distributing binaries,

Yes. MSN usernames are for MSN accounts. AIM usernames are for AIM
accounts. The networks do not communicate with one another.

Not until Skype release their code under an open source licence!
Any support for Skype is from third parties.
