Does anyone know how Pidgin or GTalk, for that matter, store its group lists?
I have a task given to be by my company to preload the list of support team
groups for our corporate users.
1. Are groups stored in Pidgin or Google?
2. If Pidgin, where? If Google, does anyone
I am running 2.10.0 on Windows 7, logged in via XMPP. I have a group called
Manager and Peers that I created. If I try to move contacts to another group
or try to delete this group, changes are not saved and Manager and Peers
shows back up once I restart Pidgin. The changes are not being

Highlight misspelled words option worked on my computer until I had to reformat
a hard drive.
After that the same and the newer version of Pidgin on the same OS Windows7
stopped highlight misspelled words, even though I made sure it's checked in
Preferences-- Conversations tab.

It is almost certainly because the dictionaries and spell checker have
been deleted during your reformat.
