After many years of not using Pidgin, I'm back at it again.
I'm aware that you can use CTRL+TAB to change conversation tabs, but I
propose the following (optional?) behavior:
* Pressing TAB in an empty (pristine) conversation entry box should
act just like CTRL+TAB.

I figured this out. The plugin from which I copied the receiving-chat-msg
callback
code had no idea what the parameters were actually supposed to be.
FWIW, the solution to changing the message flags in the receiving-chat-msg

This is simply not true. Microsoft expired some old client ID
Probably would be better to migrate to a Jabber server, and controll
your infrastructure.

The community that supports pidgin do not provide or maintain any
servers that are used by pidgin in normal operation.

Just updated my Pidgin to v2.10.10 and it will no longer connect to
my MSN account. I have an AIM account that still works fine. The
message I see is on the Buddy screen, at the bottom, and it says
"Available - Connecting" but it never does. I am behind a firewall,
