Hi there
Pidgin (2.3.1 here) doesn't seem to support status messages for MSN accounts.
Is this feature planned?
Or have I perhaps not figured out how to configure it.

all some kind of plugin just to keep this simple, intuitive
behaviour.
- I tried manually setting this option to "1" in the prefs.xml file,
and restarting. This didn't work.
Help much appreciated.

Hi,
I'm running Pidgin under Ubuntu 10.10. I would have expected Pidgin to
update itself via the Ubuntu Update Manager, but it isn't - it seems to be
stuck on v2.7.3. Can you suggest what might be the problem, please?

I keep getting this message when trying to use the Pidgin client to login to
the AIM messenger service.
“Aol does not allow your screen name to authenticate here”
What the hell does that mean?
I can log into AIM using their client(which is just the worst), but not their
webservice, oddly.

in to yahoo in my web browser and it works just fine. If you can help me, I

some old configuration that is
causing problems, but I have no idea where I might find it to
remove or fix.
Can anyone offer suggestions for fixing this?
I have longer logs, both from me and the co-worker who is
successfully using Pidgin to talk to our XMPP server. If there
are additional
wants to pollute my environment
with a custom LD_LIBRARY_PATH, LIBPATH, and SASL_PATH. Removing
them fixed the problem right up.
