Ever since I downloaded Pidgin 2.5.7 I have been unable to log on to my

Hi, I'm having an issue with Pidgin. I've used Pidgin before, and today, I
formatted my PC. After installing Pidgin, it now has a new 'feature' that hides
the typing area while I have my chat window open, if I'm not typing. I can't
find anywhere in the Preferences area to disable this, as I fin
they just
disappeared for no apparent reason. Pidgin still connects to my Facebook
account correctly, I just can't see my friends. Why is this happening? What
can I do to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I'm having the same issue (2.7 or Windows 7) and it's a nightmare
for me. I've missed quite a bit as a result. Never wanted to leave
Pidgin till now... hope this changes fast.
Anyone know how to roll-back to the previous version?

Got this when installing the Pidgin PPA on Linux Mint Version 10...
While LinuxMint is supported by the Pidgin PPA, you are running
version 10, which is not.
If this is an old version of LinuxMint, it's probably reached its
end-of-life. If it's a new version, please use the support@pidgin.im
