Spell check not working

Hi, I was wondering why my spell check for Pidgin 2.10.11 is not working? In my preferences under conversations highlight misspelled words is checked. I'm running windows 7. Also is there a way to start conversations from the tray instead of have multiple windows with conversations? Thanks

Spell check not installed/Dictionary not available

Greetings, I recently reinstalled Pidign and during the installation process, the spell check could not be automatically installed. There were instructions to manually download the dictionaries from the Open Office extension page but there is no dictionary for UK English. Is there a solution

How do I change the default spell check dictionary in Pidgin 2.1.10 for Windows?

I can change it each time I open an IM window, but I've found no way to change the default. No matter how many times I switch it to en_US from en_GB, it's always back on en_GB next time I start the program. I even reordered the dictionary files in dictionary.lst, but to no avail.
