Hello, I have the latest US version of Pidgin however the spellcheck
does not work. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Hello,
I'm not sure how to get my spellcheck to work on my Pidgin IM. In the
Preferences area, under the Conversation tab, it says that the option
Highlight misspelled words is checked. I would assume that if that box was
checked, than it should be working for me, but it's not. Any suggestions

Following Etan's suggestion I have re-installed 2.5.3 making sure to
confirm that Spell Check is enabled. While English was pre-selected
grayed out' it was selected with a check mark in both places. [one in
Spell Check another next to English]. Post re-install I still do not
