'Authentication failed' when using POP3 with Hotmail

I've just set up a new Hotmail account and I created the new account in SeaMonkey but all I get is authentication failed. Server is pop3.live.com, port is 995, password is right. What's the problem? TIA -- Malcolm They should know they're the Grateful Dead now. -- Phil

What's the problem? The problem is that in the Account Settings, in Server Settings, in the User Name textbox, the username _must_ include @hotmail.com. And then, it works. -- Malcolm They should know they're the Grateful Dead now. -- Phil ___

The hacks needed to install it are very mature and easy to apply. I'd recommend upgrading, even though it's not officially supported. The one I like is half-booting to a command line, telling the machine its speed is 867 and then continuing the boot into OSX. Then when the installer asks, the
