The bookmarks manager was more or less broken by api removals and changes in 2.53. There are even some big problems in 2.49.5 (e.g. cut and paste of folders / purging history by date) which could result in data loss. It was basically replaced: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13780
