That step was required for an older version of apulse. It was not
necessary anymore with apulse-0.1.12-r4.

Well, thanks to the Puppy Linux Forums (I love those guys)...simply
starting seamonkey from a terminal like so:
apulse seamonkey
forces seamonkey to load with the appropriate drivers used as a
workaround for pulseaudio in Puppy Linux. Sound now working.

I do not know about waterfox. alsa with apulse? Be that as it may.
