I tried to migrate from SM 1.1.18 to 2.0 using the 2.0 Import Wizard.
All seemed to go well and a "done" message appeared. Then when it
appears to restart SM2, a crash notification occurs. The System Crash
Reporter indicates that the application left no trace information.
Restarting SM2 results in a partial display of mail window with a
combination arrow cursor and 4-segment black-and-white spinning beach
ball. Although some of the elements of the mail window are responsive,
virtually all menu commands are non-responsive including Preferences,
Get Mail, Navigator, Compose and Quit. Letting SM2 run for over an hour
and no change. I trashed the new SM2 profile folder and tried again and
got the same results.
1.1.18 profile:
~ 567 MB
2 POP mail accounts each with many subfolders
2 netnews servers with approx 3 groups ea
Only extension is PrefBar v. 4.3.0, build date 20091109
2.0 profile:
~ 385 MB
2 POP mail accounts - top level folders shown but only top level Inbox
mail appears
2 netnews servers - subscribed groups do not appear
Mac OS X 10.4.11
I never had a issue with any previous 1.x upgrades.
Any ideas on how to address this ?
