The real reason(aside from industry politics)
is that there has never been easy access
to material to play. NO demo discs appeared
for a long time. Even now there is hardly
anything.
How can one sell an audio concept when people
cannot hear it?
It has been and still is --even in a time
when multichannel is readily available for playback--
a geek only product.
Where are the SACDs or Bluray discs with an
Ambisonic derived 5.1 mix?
