dear mathew

I have forwarded your mail to my friends, who are doing the financial/marketing
side of things. it is very possible that the kickstarter goal will not be met.
I have been putting pressure on them that we offer all those who pledged that
they should be able to get brahma at the price we put up for kickstarter, if
not lower. whatever happens, I am well on the way to developing a very precise
calibration system and hope that we will have the best calibrated ambisonics
microphone available, regardless of price point. once the process is ready, we
will make it available for anyone who wants to build their own microphones, and
I can experiment with other sizes of capsules, including 34 mm condenser
capsules of the RK-47 style.

Subject: brahma mic & virtual reality

Hi Umashankar Manthravadi,
I am going to purchase a Brahma mic through Kickstarter but I also fear that
you won't reach your goal. I was thinking it might be beneficial to you to
appeal/advertise to the virtual reality community (oculusvr.com is a big one
but there are other outlets/channels to the community), I don't think most
people interested in virtual reality recognize how important sound is to the
sense of immersion. Anyways, thanks so much for a new cheap mic! Hope you are
well & healthy.
