Hello I just tried s2ram on my machine (using s2ram -f only), and it just worked without problems (I tried from within X (KDE in Kubuntu)). According to the Debian "README.s2ram-whitelist" I'm writing to this list to report my machine to get it into the whitelist.
s2ram -i: This machine can be identified by: sys_vendor = "ASUSTeK Computer Inc.
