Hi all,

after long and dreadful testing finally a kernel that works:

    sys_vendor   = "Acer, inc."
    sys_product  = "TravelMate 3010 "
    sys_version  = "Not Applicable"
    bios_version = "v1.3116"

since kernel 2.6.23-rc2 (maybe also -rc1, not tested, but NOT on 22) the
following combinations have the following effect:

s2ram parms console/X11 (same effect for both)
------------------------------------------------------------
  -f CapsLock works, shell works, no graphics
  -f -a 1, -f -a 3           freezes PC, 4-sec power button necessary
  -f -a 2 CapsLock works, shell works, no graphics
  -f -p (with or without -m) success, restores X even with DRI
  -f -m CapsLock works, shell works, no graphics

Hardware: Display controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS/940GML
Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)

I am currently running Debian/unstable on 2.6.23-rc3, powersaved with
(excerpt of the settings):
        SUSPEND2DISK_RESTART_SERVICES="mysql"
        SUSPEND2RAM_RESTART_SERVICES="mysql"
        SUSPEND2RAM_FORCE="yes"
        SUSPEND2RAM_VBE_POST="yes"
with good success.

Hope that helps.

Please Cc: me if you have any more questions.

Best wishes

Norbert
