Hi, everybody
How do you think, is it possible to run diesel (with turbocharger) on used
motor oil???
Thank you

Hey I don't even know what a PET bottle is.. I know old energy from used
brain cells had something he was supposedly going to do with this PET but
it was

From the country down under.
I would like to know if you can mix,
the oil with compressed air. Any comments
Great to read all your comments on diesel making.

URBAN WIND POWER. Those living in metropolitan areas have grown
accustomed to a wide variety of man-made structures that soar into the
sky. Cell phone towers, smoke stacks and radio-TV antennas are all part
of the skyline. Where the wind is reliable,
Thanks for that link, I wondered where it was. By the way, re

I hate to bust anyones bubble, but..While going to college
many years ago,one of our projects was an electric drive, brake,
wheel motor. Encased entirely in each wheel. After all these years I
still have some of the drawings and notes on the project. We felt it
was viable and would have
Now that Aleks has turned up such good information on making
biodiesel with ethanol
(http://rredc.nrel.gov/biomass/doe/rbep/biodeg/one.html), the problem
remains of how to dry the ethanol - it has to be pure. This is what
we have so far. Anything to add?

I reckon that pot-scrubbers are about 3x better than
I have always used a combination of marbles and
scrubbers, in the 300+ some still which I have
built because there are tow separate things you
are trying to do in different parts of the still.
If you understand the nature of reflux (which is

Actually, hybrid electric vehicles as they currently exist operate on a
different principle. Basically, the premise is that the majority of
your driving is steady state, low horsepower operation. 20-30
horesepower in a full sized car(appx). All the other horsepower is only
used intermittently
Actually I don't remember really I would have to reread back over his posts

make energy from nothing, I figured he lost a few to many brain cells(G)...
OK it was late at night what can I say..? Thanks for the info.

saw on discovery channel about a rather large fire a few years ago, they
covered the whole city with eucalyptis, burned real pretty, the whole city.

nope, a turbo charger packs air into a cylinder under pressure.

I agree here re scrubbers lacking thermal mass (heat capacity). Once option
here, to maintain the delicate strata of temperatures in the column is to
make sure that the outside of the column is well insulated. This way stray
wind gusts won't suddenly cause it to cool down unexpectedly upset
I have heard that a neighbor of mine puts used motor oil in his diesel fuel
in his semi trucks. It is illegal ( emissions ) and burns heavy metals,
smokes visibly , and that's at low concentrations ( 10% ) i call yucky on
that.

Quick Facts...
a.. The level of interest in using alcohol as a motor fuel has followed
cycles of fuel shortages and/or low feed-grain prices.
b.. Alcohols burn more completely, thus increasing combustion
efficiency.

Quick Facts...
a.. Anaerobic fermentation or digestion is the most promising process
for
converting organic materials to methane and other gases.
b.. A simple apparatus can be constructed to produce bio-gas.

Biofuels are alcohols, ethers, esters, and other chemicals made from
cellulosic biomass such as herbaceous and woody plants, agricultural and
forestry residues, and a large portion of municipal solid and industrial
waste. The term biofuels can refer to fuels for electricity and fuels for
I bet this noxious waste product could be co-fired in a diesel engine simply
by mixing it with mineral diesel or biodiesel. This is easier than Steve's
suggestion of pre-heating. Better check the filter pretty often though, and
avoid breathing the fumes as a precaution against heavy metals.
