Per our previous discussion about wind power, Home Power magazine's
current issue contains a formula for estimating output from a wind
machine based on "average annual wind speed". To wit
kWh per year = [rotor area (sq. ft)] x [annual average wind
speed (mph)]^3 x 0.085 x EfficiencyFactor
