probably not worry about taxes if I used SVO or home-brewed biodiesel. And
if it were an issue, I'd point out to any authority that each and every
electric car on the road is using untaxed fuel as well.

Mark, here's the article:

Looks like Harold took the liberty of adding the 50cents estimate of
cost/gallon in materials and the 27cents or so per gallon for taxation. The
article doesn't quote anyone from our coop as saying what we'd sell it for.

2feet diameter and has perhaps 1/4inch thick walls. It easily handles
positive pressure to 100psi---would likely handle any vacuum which could be

Try www.revenoor.com in Yamhill, Or.
They make stills from tabletop size (~$1k) up to large commercial size.
The $1k size will distill 2-3quarts/hr in batch mode.
If 2 batches/day were made, 5 days/week, you could yield 250gallons/yr for
$1k investment--plus mash and electricity---i.e.

So much for truth, justice and the American way.

Wow, hemp is related to nettles---I didn't know that---though it makes sense
when you look at the leaves. However, Hemp's closest relative is the Hop

just difficult---old 60's marijuana books suggested doing this to grow

Wow, hemp

heard anything indicating Bolivia would be open to cannabis, though I did
just get from a friend whose brother lives in Cochabomba Bolivia that the
country is now deciding to allow coca growers/producers to have

Danfoss makes a fuel preheater, have you seen it?
Yes, I've seen it, thanks.
Hoping to keep things simple, though.
Biodiesel burning with 150psi pressure atomizing with spark ignition has not
been a problem...only post-burn nozzle drip (probably due to too much

Jesse- yes, I know of the Hago eco-nozzles --- and might see if I can get
one to work on our burner. We're just using a standard Danfoss nozzle I
believe.
I'm using a 0.65gal/hour at about 70deg fan, solid cone. The Hago
econozzles I believe simply use a small, built-in, low-pressure check
the ground. Still, the price
ain't bad and the benefits well worth the effort---and the drip. Apologies

Gas cars pay fuel taxes at the pump.
Large biodiesel producers add such taxes to their sale price presuming,
presumably, that their customers will be using their fuel to power vehicles
on public roadways.
Many smaller and even home-brew BD producers also are seeking to ante up
such taxes to avoid
