They probably don't allow NEV's on the road -- these are generally kind of
souped up golf carts with headlights and turn signals and 25mph maximum
speed. A real electric car shouldn't have a problem, as I know a number of
people in Canada using EV's.

In a rather controversial move, the British Columbia provincial
government has instituted a "revenue neutral" carbon tax. We received a
"refund" in the mail last week that amounts to $100 for each family
member, intended to offset the increased cost for any carbon based fuel
that we burn.
