sorry for the typo...
I meant the ph of the BD is at 5.5 not the wash water.
The BD should be around 5.5 and the wash water around
7-7.5 (neutral) when wash is complete.

I have been experimenting with letting the BD sit for 2-3 weeks--most
if not all of the soaps/salts precipitate out. I then filter out the
precipitate. The wash water is clear after the first wash. Do I even
