Misting with an emulsion of Linseed Oil and water BEFORE the concrete 
is cured is even better. It prevents the surface from drying out 
before the molecular cure is complete. Most Commercial concrete  also 
has a white pigment added to reflect the sun to keep it cool until 
the cure is complete.
