I'm rather old and a little slow.  Could you please explain to me in 
a few simple words how Europe "makes" the US protect it.  It never 
occurred to me that Europe could make the US do anything.  What 
exactly does Europe have to be protected from other than a country 
that bullies its way around the world?  I can't think of one - 
perhaps you can?  As I am old enough to remember the Second World War 
it occurd to me that perhaps you are thinking of protecting Europe 
from Hitler.  Howver, then the US only decided to join the fray when 
its own interests were threatened.  Prior to that I remember many US 
citizens, including the forebearers of your brave draft dodging 
President, were allegedly supporting the Nazis.

I look forward to hearing how Europe "makes" the US protect it.
