In a nutshell, our cost to extrude and press oil out of soybean, selling
feed meal by the metric ton and converting the oil to biodiesel, building a
plant from scratch, truck scales, grain bins, legs, storage tanks, etc., is
calculated at $600,000 US, just to get to the point where the switch can be
flipped.

The cost would not be much different for hemp.

A plant of this size would consume 12,150 tons of oilseed annually, give or
take 9,000 acres. The biodiesel section would not be maxed out by the
pressed oil, requiring some import of waste oil feedstocks from the
surrounding area.

Mind you, 9,000 acres in a circle is not a very large geographical radius,
even including forested and fallow lands.
