Just running "normal" ISP services like dhcp, dns, webserver and so
on.
Main focus is the long support, maybe I'll wait for 10.04 LTS - so I
got
support to the year 2015 :)
If you are going to pick Ubuntu because of the more predictable and
long-term support[1],
You could add

to the list, does pretty much what Richard is trying to do, too. That
is not to say that his effort is pointless, these tools all have some
drawbacks and if you have the time to write one that suits you, you
definitely should do it :)
