Of the fantastic pictures so far, I like #18 the best. (I thought this
before reading anyone elses preferences)
What I'd like to see to compare is one with the background text rotated in a
single direction only, like the / slanting text in #19, with the same
contrast used for the background as in

I like number 18 as well. I guess it is 18, it could be 17. I can't tell
how the descriptions line up.(I must be a Florida Voter). Anyway I like the
one that has the thick blue border around it.

Well, that's why programs normally have the possibility to turn off the
splash screen to save those some

Splash screens are a visual cue that the program is loading.

That reminds me, we should be careful that the splash screen doesn't add

After talking with Chris a bit, there is a new splash screen that combines
aspects of #18 and #20. It doesn't contain any thing from #21 (a.k.a. "Speedy
Greek") that was unanimously rejected.
