[sword-devel] OSIS introductions

2008-11-30 Thread DM Smith
I'd like to suggest a change in how osis2mod handles introductory material. SWORD only stores verses and has a concept of verse 0 holding introductory material. Given a tuple, (testament, book, chapter, verse) we have the following introductions (testament, book, chapter, 0) - a chapter int

Since the problem seemed to have something to do with the being placed after the in all but verse 1, I tried the experiment of simply yanking the elements completely. This worked! But now I'm not sure if the module source markup is still OSIS-correct. It looks like this: Chapter 11 The Death

Hello, the Zefania XML Bible Markup Language Project on Sourceforge plans to convert all of their files to OSIS with the Crosswire Script zef2osis.pl located on ftp://ftp.crosswire.org/pub/sword/utils/perl/ Afterwards the OSIS files will be hosted together with the corresponding Zefania XML file

Dear all, Attached is a patch to libsword to include an arabic vowel filter. Essentially this is a monkey patch - I aped everything relating to the hebrewpoints filter without by necessity understanding it all. After all I have little or no clue of programming. The filter itself - yes I think I

Do you think Bible.org would be amenable to our re-encoding their NET texts? As Karl pointed out, their encoding has some shortcomings that it would be nice to rectify. And since I've been writing a Unicode report this evening, it has occurred to me that a re-encode might be a good opportunity
