Ben,
Consider trying out to make it rtoL a priority, please. Tiny portable
applications in RtoL scripts have a role way beyond the curiosity value.
Wrt widgets - you might get a pleasant surprise - When Karl and I looked

Just had a look at the source code.
Am I right that all menus etc are constructed via the XRC files? How and
where would you put translations?

Ben,
The Sword 1.5.11 ISO must not have the files you mention. I can't find
any other directory called bindings/swig/package other than in the
sword-svn directory. The SOURCE folder just has archives, and the
sword-base archive in the root of the ISO doesn't have a bindings
folder. I am not
Ben,
Never mind. I think I found it. I had to find the sword-1.5.11.tar.gz
file on the ftp site. Why weren't the bindings in the ISO?

Congrats on a new release. It looks nice.
BPBible also uses a new locale, which gives nicer references than the
traditional ones

With the ICU problems, what I have seen is crashing on certain
transliterations at certain times (gcc giving errors like double free of
memory detected).
Also, some html markup is seen in the frames when certain transliterations
are chosen.
I think this is a problem with sword's ICU support, but
to the software without need to login?
Thanks,

This is fantastic! It's a great step forward in terms of
functionality--looking up Vietnamese words works perfectly, not to
mention all the other functionality. I can't

The problem here is that you haven't got the auto tools.
There was a configure script shipped with the release. It should be in the
bindings/swig/package directory.
I'm not sure what the ISO
